  1. All the local fairs are held in Longford. They are always held in the town. There is always luck money given when the cattle is sold. The animal is sold for support of the family. The luck money is gave by the price of the cattle and it is called the luck pennie.
    When the animal is sold the the jobbers marks them with chalk. There are no fairs held in farmer's houses or a cross-roads. They are always held every month.
