Local Poets
Joseph Donnelly of Carra was a great poet and he was born in Carra. He died at the age of 72 and he was buried in Carra.
He made poems about "Lough Sheelin", "Pat O'Farrell", "The Moat of Granard", "The rebellion of 98" and of other things.
