(a) Tie a cloth soaked with hot water round the jaw. (b) Drink hot whiskey with copper in it (a very small piece of copper will suffice) for about a week, and the teeth will be easily drawn.
Cures for Stings, Burns, & Boils
For A sting
(a) Rub blue on the affected part to ease the pain. (b) Rub a docking leaf on the sting.
For Boils
(a) Boil nettles and eat them for your dinner.
For a burn
To ease the pain of a burn grease it with butter and then rub flour on it.
A Cure for the Measles
Boil the roots of ferns in new milk with a little whiskey and drink the mixture.
A Cure for a cold
Boil buttermilk and add a few handfuls of sugars while the buttermilk is boiling. Drink the mixture in bed.(continues on next page)- Collector
