  1. There is a fort near my house named Pat Cunningham's. One night there was a man coming from Edgeworthstown and as he was passing the fort he heard a mowing machine going round the field. Two little men brought him out and made him take back grass from the machine. When they had the meadow mowed they sent him home and when he went back the next day the meadow was there unmowed.
    One night there were men coming from playing cards and they had to pass a fort. The fairies flew all over them playing music, singing and laughing. The men kept watching them
