  1. It is said that a crock of gold was found in Matty MacCormack's Fort one time. A man named Charles Cullen dreamt about it - three nights after other. The fourth night he went to the Fort and dug until he found the crock. It was full of gold sovereigns. That is why the fort and the townland is called "Lios an Oir" ever since.

  2. John Victory's "Crocán" was a graveyard one time. If you dug in it now, you would find little pipes and jugs. Every night a light appears at it. The light goes up in the air and comes down again.
