- Once upon a time a man wanted to get a stook of flax thrashed. A man, that he never saw before, came to the door and said he would thrash the flax for him and that he would give it back to him, if he could tell him his name. The man agreed and the strange man brought the flax with him. His wife scolded him for giving the flax to someone he didn't know, but the man said he'd find out from someone who he was. One day he was going over a hill and he heard thrashing going on. He put his ear to the ground and he heard a woman saying "Johnny Bundoon, Johnny Bundoon, how will that man know you"?
