Margarets church. It was a pre-Reformation church. There are three carved stones thrown in side the church-yard gate. The foundation of one wall is still to be seen. A Sycamore tree is growing over it. After the church had been thrown down the bell used to ring at twelve o'clock every night. Only one girl in the town could hear it. There were three girls working in the town. The three used to sleep together. Only one of them could hear the bell. The others used to stay awake until after twelve o'clock but could not hear it.
There is a Graveyard in Tullerstown called "The Powl." Strangers are buried there. There are ruins of an old church in it. When a person is sick who is to be buried in it, a light rises out of the Graveyard and goes to the sick persons house. When the light is rising the graveyard would look as if it were afire
Then a ball of light with a tail out of it would rise out of it. Sometimes it joins together. It was often seen to rest on a pier for a while and then move off again
When it would reach the house it would alight on it
After a while it would disappear.
