    the man selling the horse would give the buyer nine or ten shillings out of the money that he got for the horse. This is called "luck" If a man was buying a cow from another man and if he didn't give the seller the money at the time except a shilling This is called "Earnest" It was considered unlucky to do business on Fridays
    In markets around here were held in Ballyhack and Nash
    A hucksters shop is a shop where tea, sugar, tobacco and other small things are sold. Long ago people went around collecting feathers and rags. The feathers were used for pillows and papers were made from rags. Pedlars visited this district long ago. The pedlars sold combs, pins, and other little things.
    The names of the common coins are -
    penny ------------ wing or copper
    fourpence ------- fourpenny bit
    Sixpence -------- Tanner
    Shilling ----------- Bob
    Two Shillings --- Florin
    2/6 ---------------- half a crown
    Five Shillings --- Crown
