- Football matches are very common at the present day. The match holds about an hour. Fifteen men are on each team. When the half-hour is up the teams change and have some light refreshment.
Long ago football matches were much the same. In the middle of a field four poles are placed two of them facing each other.
A man is placed at the goal-post to prevent the ball from passing through. If the ball went over the pole it would count as a "point" and if it went under it would count a goal.- Collector
