   Tá iarsmaí seana-chille i gCill Bhán a leagadh le Cromul nuair a tháinig sé go hÉirinn 'sa bhliain 1649.

   Tá tobar a ghabhann leis an gcill seo ann Leis. Chreid na daoine go raibh comhacht leigheasa 'sa 'san uisce 'san tobar sin agus sé ba bhun leis an gcreideamh san ná go raibh bean ann 'sa tsean-aimsir a chuir an uisce sin ar chneadha agus créachca a bhí ar a géaga agus ní fada gur leigheasadh iad. Sin é an cúis gur chreid na daoine go bhféádfadh an t-uisce iad féin do léigheas.

   Well after that I heard them saying They'd let the Fintans win a game The way they'd have the Beachers runners-up They said, another gate, another day Another hour they'd have to play Then everyone will see who'll win the cup (X) Now the Beachers came like men To try for honour once again And knew 'twas then or never for renown But when the final hour was up They'd lost the game and lost the cup And had to leave it with the boys of Adamstow (XI) Now I don't want you to delay But get the Poem, (?) you'll see (?) the play Afraid you think I want to run them down; But here and there men can be found On their sticks their limping round After trying to play the boys of Adamstown. (XII) Now I'll finish up by saying I wish good luck to all the team And hope their fine form never will break down And the cup they have tonight Is an honour shining bright Upon the heads of the Gaels of Adamstown.
