    This Madge Dixon's maiden name is Madge Stafford and some people used to call her Madge Browne and there are some relations of her's living still up in Ballyhoo, Kilcorrel, and on the Quay of Wexford.
    In the Battle of '98 there were two Dixons brothers fighting one for Ireland and the other for England.
    This "Yalla" Madge was noted for her many escapes and her bravery in the year of '98.
    I got all this from George Dixon.
