- 118Local Poets ii31 . 10 . 38The poets that lived in my district formerly were Mr James Pender, Mr James Rossiter and Mrs DalyJim Pender lived in Crory and he was born in Ballyboggan in or about the year 1876 he died in the year 1930 and he was between 50 and 55 years of age
He is buried in Ardtramont.
About 35 years ago he had an argument through the Press with a poet from the Barony of Forth named Joe Sutton
