    the seed for the next year came from Scotland and other countries.
    Owing to the failure of the potato crop seeds were scarce and some of the seed for the next year were got by boiling the bad potatoes and taking the eyes out of them and sowing them again.
    People do point out old housed that were then occupied and now in ruins.
    Here is a story that has a slight connection with the Famine time-:
    There were tow men going home by Kilmalloc graveyard on night and they saw a big spring car and a white horse under it and they heard the shovels
