    When people are always talking they neglect their work the old saying is "Great talkers are never great doers".
    "Look before you leap" meaning do not rush at anything in a hurry.
    If you lost anything and cry over it the old people would say "No use crying over spilt milk"
    "Little pitchers have long ears" meaning that children tell a lot more than they listen to.
    Any persons well fed who constantly finds fault with his good are not hungry as the old grannie says " Hunger is the best sauce".
    "Spare the rod and spoil the child" meaning people do not correct their children when they do wrong.
    Here are other proberbs common to the district-:
    " A bird in a hand is worth two in a bush"
    A lie has no legs.
    Say little and do much.
    A windy day is not a day for thatching.
    There is no torment till marriage.
    Early to bed early to rise makes a man
