    A Black Bull is said to guard buried treasure (Gold) hidden near Mrs. E. Whitmore's gate, Loggan, near Crosspatrick Church (Co. Wicklow)
    When treasure was buried some one was made to swear to guard it dead or alive. Then he was put to death. Any efforts to dig up the gold afterwards were always put a stop to by supernatural means
