    Long ago there lived a great giant in the County Wexford. He used eat people and animals. The people were terrified of him, and at last decided to kill him. So one day as he was walking along the bank of the river Glasha near Kilmishall a man cut off his head by means of a long slash-hook. When the head was severed from the body it rolled into the river, and floated away with the tide. They buried the body headless. Some
