    On another occasion he had an argument with an "Orangeman" in a tavern and they decided to box. During the fight Austin, a man of gigantic stature and uncommon strength struck his opponent with such a terrific blow that he felled him and could not save himself from falling on him with such force that a blow of his knee killed the 'Orangeman'. He was was warned that the dead man's son intended to shoot him, so he abandoned the 'carring' for some time until the deed ceased to be mentioned
