    The Local Forge
    There is one forge in this parish. Andy Corcoran is the smith's name. Their people have been smiths for a long time. The forge is situated in Brideswell a half a mile from the cross roads. The roof is slated. The door is the same as any door. There is only one fireplace. The smith shoes horses and asses.
    There was a blacksmith in Tombrain about the time of the rebellion of 1798. His name was Dick Connors. He made pikes for the rebellion of '98. He was arrested and put into
