    Kilkenny when his father died. Then he took it in his head that he would be a blacksmith. He went to Patrick Carton Tombrack to learn his trade. He was there for three years. He had cousins and they were very old. They were going to give it up. Patrick came along then and asked them for the place. He told them that he would carry on the same as they carried on. The man was perfect in his trade.
    Patrick Carton is a blacksmith for fifty years now.
