- There is an old Rath on English's farm and it is said, that there is gold buried under a big stone there
It is said that there is an enchanted hound minding it for fear anyone would try to take it.Every one in the neighbouring district tried to get the gold. They dug up the ground and did all they could to get it, but it was all in vain
If anyone tried to get it the hound would come along very fierce and angry. One day some men were digging there and the hound came very fierce and angry and was going to eat them. They got away and ran home very quickly. One night a woman was going along the road and she saw a child dressed in white and silver.
The woman bade her "Good night" but the child only disappeared under the stone. The gold was never got since and I suppose it wont be got now either, it might be got by some lucky person yet. Any night you(continues on next page)- Informant
