   If the person that the tinker is annoying says that the thing is too dear the tinker will say that you will see the worth of it. If the person does not buy it the tinker will reduce it a penny or so. If you do not give them anything they will go away cursing you. Some of these are wealthy enough but they pretend to be poor.
   Some of these travel around in cars some in caravans and so on. They travel about so much that they are called the travelling folk.

   The travelling Folk or the tinkers as we call them are very very common in our district. The best known of them are "The Connors." Some of these tribes spend their time making tin cans and tea-drawers. Others spend their time going around begging and depending on the people
