  1. There are many animals on the farm. The best known of them are cows, pigs, horses, sheep and asses.
    The cows are tied by a chain around the neck. The names of the cows at home are Tipperary, Old Red, Darky, Denny and Quaid. The cows are brought out of the field by saying Chew home and they are made go up in their stall by saying "Bail up there."
    The horses are got to stand and are then caught in the field by saying "Woe there." The calves are brought home by saying "Suck! suck!" and they run to the gate.
    Nearly all the animals except sheep are left out during the Summer and left in during the night and rest of the year.
