The animals. If you see a dog eating grass it is a sign of rain. If you see cows lying under a ditch in the morning it is a sign of a fine day. If goats come down from the hills we will have a storm.
The insects. If you see the ants creeping across the road we will have rain If the bumble bee is flying around at night it is a sign of a fine day.
The fire. If the fire burns bright we will have frost. If the fire burns badly we will have rain. If there is a blue blaze in the fire it is a sign of frost.
Natural features. If the mountains to be near it is a sign of rain. If they seem to be far off it is a sign of fine weather. If there is a fog toward the north and if it is near the ground we will have fine weather.
