   There is a little field about two fields away from our house called the Moinin. This field got its name from a bog that was in it n olden times. This field is under tillage now. The name of my townland is Killoughey. This is the English spelling. The Irish name is Cill Achaidh (?) which means the church of the plain long ridge. The ruins of the old chapel are to the present day.

   there is a small filed at the back of our house called the Devils half acre. This place got its name on account of the Devil being in it. There is a track of the Devil's hoof in a stone there. There is a field of Molloys of Rathrobin called the chicken field. There was a stallion horse called the chicken. A man named Art Bracken was in the field one day and the horse ran after him. The man took up a stone and hit the
