- There is a little field about two fields away from our house called the Moinin. This field got its name from a bog that was in it n olden times. This field is under tillage now. The name of my townland is Killoughey. This is the English spelling. The Irish name is Cill Achaidh (?) which means the church of the plain long ridge. The ruins of the old chapel are to the present day.
