There is another well in a place called Ballincarty. The water of this well cures toothaches and sore eyes. You are supposed to take a mouthful of the water. There are three crosses at the well the person is to knell down at each cross and say a prayer to the Saint. the saints name is Standeclaus. Ballincanty is about two miles East of Mount Bolus. - There is a well in our wood called the priests well. This got its name in account of a priest hiding himself there in the penal times. The priests name was Father Molloy. This well never goes dry.
