    door and one window. The fre is on the middle of the floor. The forge s about eighty yards from the Blue Ball cross roads. there is only one thing that is made localy and that is a forge tongs. Some of the tools he has in the forge are hammers, pincers, wrenches.

  2. There are about five forges in this district. Danniel Lynch's forge is the nearest to us. He lives in the town land of Ballyboy. He shoes horses and donkeys. The forge is built of stone and roofed with boards and black felt. There is a door and window and a chimney. The floor is of cement. The anvil was bought in the shop. The piece of ground on which the forge is built is called "The Wesleyan" the reason it was called Wesleyan is because Protestants were taught in it years ago
