    people going along used to go down by one road, and come back by the other or they would not have luck. There is another tree a few yards from St Ciaran's Trees called the Robin bush. It grows out across the road like an arch and gets its name from the number of Robins that build in it. It is supposed to have been planted by St Ciaran. When he was planting them he said anyone who would pull one of them would never have any luck. He also said anyone who would carry a small piece of the bark of any of these trees in his pocket would be cured of any disease he had on his body.
