    there is thunder the woman puts an iron spoon or a bit of iron in the nest with the eggs. This prevents the chickens from being killed by the noise of the thunder. An iron pot is sometimes turned over the box, or an iron band is put around it for the same reason.
    When you put down the eggs on a Sunday you will have all pullets.
    It is not lucky to put down eggs before sunrise or after sunset.
    On one of the eggs the woman makes a cross for it is said that if a chicken does not come from that egg all the other chickens will dies.
