  1. The Goldfinch
The nicest bird of them all is the goldfinch. She builds her nest in an elder bush. She lays five small eggs. The colour of her eggs is blue. The colour of herself is yellow and green. Some people say if you put your hand on an elder bush where a goldfinch builds her nest, you will not grow any bigger.
    The Green linnet.
Another very nice kind of bird is green linnet. She builds her nest in a wall. She lays six eggs: the colour of her eggs is white and yellow. The eggs are a fair size.
