  1. A trush lays her eggs in a nest which she makes on an old bank. She lays four brown eggs. The thrush is a very big bird and a beautiful singer.
The robin builds in a hedge. She lays six eggs. She is a very small bird with a red breast.
This is how the robin got the red breast. When Our Lord was on the Cross He was thirsty and the robin listening to him saying "I Thirst." The kind - hearted bird got a leaf, dipped it in water, and brought it to Our Lord. The bird's breast touched against Our Lord's blood and in that way he got the red breast.
