  1. Wildfire: To write the person's name with pen and ink around the sore parts
    Corns: The Local cure for the Corns is, stepp ivy leaves in vinegar and then rub the liquid on the corn, and the corn falls out after a few days.
    Warts: There are several cures for warts. One is to rub a snail to the wart each morning for nine days. Another is to go to a local man, who ha the cure, he makes the sign of the cross with a straw. You have to visit him on Monday, Thursday, and Monday; The local man who cures warts here, is, Michael Rourke, Kil-colgan.
    Sore throat: Put roasted salt in an old stocking and put it around your neck going to bed, and it will relieve your throat before morning.
    Hiccough: To give a person a sudden fright stops a hiccough at once.
    Burn: Anyone who has licked an "Alp Luachra" can cure a burn by lick-ing the burn.
