    In London town I do lie down
    Upon my bed to sleep.
    When I think of home and how I must roam
    Across the waters deep.
    I cant sleep a wink when when e're I think
    Of home and my Cailin
    Ah will I ever more see you astore
    Or the Lavagh fields so green.
    II
    In a few days more I will leave the shore
    Of this great British town.
    And take my leave while on the wave
    As the Thames they do sail down
    Through Biscay Bay I will sail away
    Where I will have many a scene
    But I will see none there that I could compare
