  1. The people of my district sow potatoes. The land is suitable for Skerry Champions and Arran Banners. Those are the potatoes that are sown. Some years the people sow two acres each and other years they sow three acres each. They sow the potatoes in drills and put farm yard manure on them. When they have the manure on the potatoes they close the drills. They weed the potatoes in July because the weeds would choke them. When they are weed they are sprayed to prevent the blight
