    There are the remains of two old hedge schools in Lumcloon. One was in the old mill and the other at the head of the Mill road joining Cloghan-Kilcormac road. There was much people going to these schools. Tim Garner teached in the old mill and Jim Duffy teached in the old school at the head of the mill road. Only one teacher teached in each
