  2. There are three forges in the locality. Two at Banagher and one at Tailor's Cross outside the town. There is also one in the town but it is now disused.
    Frank Tyquin owns the one at Tailor's Cross and Michael Gibbons and Tom Larkin own the two in the town. The disused one was owned by Mr. Lantry. The ancestor of Frank Tyquin and Tom Larkin were blacksmiths but those of Michael Gibbons were farmers.
