The happenings in this district are four. One is there was a man making sugar- stick for the pattern in Johnswell. He had it in a crook in the top of the house and spat on his hand while he twisted it. A man came in while he was doing this and said. " That the guishe might not hit with you" That the guishe might not hit with you" and he could not get to make any till the man went out, then he worked alright. Another happening was, a girl was dancing on a light flag over a well and she fell down. The owner had to get a ladder and go down for her and every step he came up the ladder he said, "have you enough of dancing now.
