  2. In Grange a place now occupied by John Gaynor, there was a family of Nolans known as the basket makers. They made strong baskets for potatoes and apples from strong sallies and hazel swithes, They made finer baskets from thinner sallies and plaited bands of rye-straw for clothes or needle-work baskets.
