    is a man in Ballyraham and he repairs boots. There was a man in Ballyraham by the name of Murphy and he was a great shoemaker. When he died nobody else in the district made shoes or boots. People used to wear clogs long and some people wear them still. Leather was made in a place in Ballyrahan, They used to tan the skins and they made leather out of them. When the hair was taken off the skin it was soaked for days in water.
