    His friends hastily threw him down in the trench by a sandy dike, and shovelled or shoved part of the sandy dike over him.
    Several days afterwards a party of yeomen discovered the hastily made grave, and as was their custom dug it to find out if it was the grave of a rebel.
    Some of the corps of Arklow yeomanry recognised him as Rossiter, and a party of them proceeded to Killpatrick where he and his brother lived, to find out where the other brother was.
