  1. There are many old mansions in the parish of Kilquade including Mount Kennedy and Woodstock.
    Woodstock was the historic home of the Tottenhams and it was there Bishop Tottenham ended his. It is said that he died of a loathsome desease to this day his belongings are still to be seen even the clothes have not been removed from his bed, his shoes and cloak and his coach are there too. There is also a fine collection of paintings and there is also one of a man wearing "top boots" and in uniform and the title of the picture is "Tottenham in his boots" this is said to be very valuable.
    Mount Kennedy was the home of the Gun Cunninghames and these were descendants of Lord Rossmore. Lord Rossmore was a cruel man and he kept a lady in of his vaults until she went mad. Where he put her was a round hole like a well with brick walls it is still in perfect condition and this is under the ground. Mount Kennedy is famous for its secret
