    There is a fort in Mr Burkes field about a quarter of a mile from the Convent School and about a mile from the village of Newtown Mt. Kennedy it is called the fairy fort it is round in shape And there is earth and stone allround it, there is a raised piece of earth in the centre The people of Newtown say that there is a chest of money in its centre and people say that when this chest is unearthed that the natives of Newtown Mt Kennedy will become rich
