  1. (continued from previous page)
The man asked him what he was laughing at and he would not tell him. Then the farmer threatened to burn him and he said a robber came in and asked him for money and he told him that there was a purse of money hidden under the bed in the lower room. The robber, he said, went down and got it and that was why he was laughing.
"You bold fellow," said the farmer throwing him out on door. The Leipreachan was thankful and glad, going away, as fast as his little legs could bring him laughing at the fool he made out of the farmer. "A fool should never try to fool others" he said as he was going out of sight.
