The crowd was very countless you could not mention all.
The ladies that attended there they were a gallant sight.
Four and twenty fair maids and they all dressed in white.
At the hour of eight o'clock the Ballinagler boys came in.
They had a dancing master with them and they called him "Bully Wynne".
He put them through the lancers and the drill was so severe.
That they wished to God from all their harts that "Bully" was'nt there.
The Miss McPadden's had two sweethearts two jolly fine young men.
One was Michael McPartlin and the other Peter Flynn,
I heard these young men talking and to them they did say.
What would you think if you'ld consent with us to come away.
We have two lovely cottages in to them you might call.
For ever more to bless the night you met us at the ball.
