    the blood.
    A pain in the side. A warm cabbage leaf was kept to the side with the pain for a few days. That was always known to soothe pain.
    A bleeding finger. It is said that another good cure was to chew a piece of Slán-lus and put it to the cut. It was always known to stop blood. Slán-lus is a broad green leaf and sometimes thin with streaks or lines on the back of it. Little black heads grow on it.
    To Reduce Swelling. Chicken-weed was boiled and when soft was made a poltice of and applied to the swelling.
    Rash or pimples Boil some young nettles dress them like cabbage and eat three quantitys of them at three different times. This was said to be very good for the blood.
