    opens to the outside takes the of glass and also ventilates the cabin. When you pass one of these mud cabins you would imagine that they are very damp but when you go in to one of them you will find they are always dry and warm, the baked clay keeps out the cold and rain better than you would expect.
    The people that lived in mud cabins were always of a dark complexion owing to the smoky condition of the inside, but they were always of a very healthy nature who lived to grand old age.
