people that had goats, drunk goats milk at every meal. Fresh meat was never used except at Christmas times boiled baken and cabbage were eaten at the dinner. At night people usually took oat-meal bread, porridge and butter milk. On Ash-Wednesday and Good Friday people only took dry bread and potatoes for their meals. The bread that was eaten long ago was wheaten bread and oat meal bread.
