  2. In the townland of Lacken, near Ballinagh, County Cavan, there is a rock in the middle of a field, called "Branny's Rock".
One day a cow named Branny, was eating grass on top of a large rock; it fell down and was killed. From that time it was called "Branny's Rock". The field belonged to John Weir at that time: now it belongs to Eddie Brady.
