is a Mass Rock, still to be seen there. Between two rocks, there is a path, leading into a small cave. There is a flat rock in the middle of the cave, and on this rock, Mass was said long ago. In that country some of the Protestants were good people, and sometimes they hid priests from the English, who did not suspect them.

In the townland of Lacken, near Ballinagh, County Cavan, there is a rock in the middle of a field, called "Branny's Rock".
One day a cow named Branny, was eating grass on top of a large rock; it fell down and was killed. From that time it was called "Branny's Rock". The field belonged to John Weir at that time: now it belongs to Eddie Brady.
