    made many cures, particularly toothache. It is told that St. Brigid had a cow, which supplied the people of the district with milk, until one day a man brought a riddle to be filled with milk. But from that onward, the cow only gave as much milk as an ordinary cow. There is also an impression of the Saint's knee on a stone, beside the well.
