- When St Joseph, and the Blessed Virgin, and the Infant Jesus, were fleeing to Egypt, it is believed that they stopped at a house for lodging. Before they retired for the night, the Blessed Virgin got some water and bathed Our Lord. When she was finished, the woman of the house bathed her child in the same water. Tradition tells us that this child was the Good Thief who was crucified beside Our Lord, and it is also believed that the bathing in the same water as Our Lord was the cause of his conversion.
