    shot were in jail. Those who kept to the old parliamentary party were known as Hibernians. There was much bad feeling between the adherents of both parties. After many scuffles during the year '17-'18-'19 both parties met by accident at a dance in "Tommy Hylands" in October 1919 where the battle was fought out although the hibernians were the most numerous, were put out side and got so much the worst of it that party have never and trouble since.
    This battle has become famous and celebrated in a song called "Hyland dance".
